Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Finora ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Finora is a personal finance dashboard that allows users to track accounts, transactions, budgets, and financial goals. The Service provides read-only access to your linked financial accounts and does not initiate or authorize any financial transactions on your behalf.
3. Accounts and Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Free and Paid Plans
Finora offers a free tier with limited features and a paid Pro plan. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time, and your Pro features will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, reverse-engineering the Service, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Finora does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any financial data displayed through the Service.
7. Limitation of Liability
Finora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to financial decisions made based on information provided by the Service.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and household details. When you link financial accounts, we receive read-only account data (balances, transactions, account names) through our third-party aggregation provider.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Service, including displaying your financial data, generating budgets and reports, and sending account-related notifications. We do not sell your personal or financial data to third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers and encrypted in transit. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Access to financial accounts is read-only — Finora cannot move, transfer, or modify your funds.
4. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to provide account aggregation (Plaid), payment processing (Stripe), and hosting infrastructure. These services have their own privacy policies and data handling practices.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal and financial data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can export your data or delete your account through your account settings. For data-related requests, contact us at the email below.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service.
